Catch-22 #1

A. The difference in the two conversations are that one is about a child hood, and what he did for a purpose, or no purpose. However, the second conversation was about war and how everyone was out to get Yossarian, but the people couldn't be identified even though they were real. Nothing was resolved but in each conversation questions that weren't asked were indirectly answered by both men as they were rambling. The reason is they were too caught up in their own world to realize and focus on the question being asked, however they were answering other questions that would possibly lead up to the answer if they kept going with their ramblings of facts. Yossarian's role is changed from being the questioned to the questioner. He thinks that they are pretty self righteous or crazy while, they think he has the Jehovah Complex or some sort compared to it. Yes, they lead to the people making the assumptions of how and why he is the way he acts.

C. It means that every where else crazy people have contaminated the wards, however his particular ward is free from the craziness of the rest of the world. Yossarian shows the most insane qualities from his ramblings of him being poisoned to his ramblings of wanting to know why Orr wanted big cheeks. He impacted the ward in a very contagious way. Plus, he doesn't really contribute he is more slacker and he takes up space. For example, when he doesn't read letters and passes them along with an alias that he reciprocals every now and then.

D. I agree becasue he seems to think that every one is a Jehovah. He therefore sets himself upon a pedestal and he believes that he is greater than the others. As well as, thinking that the others think that they are better than him. He is the oxymoron to the Jehovah Complex. One moment he has it towards others then its vice versa.
